The Reich Treasury in Berlin had been made attentive probably on the search for locations for two or three realm financial schools by the Meersburger mayor and the customs office in Konstanz on the building of the former seminar for priests. At the beginning of of May 1937 took place an inspection via citizens of Berlin a delegation. The attraction of the building and the situation led to the fact that the Reich Ministry interspersed itself against the country nearly schroff. The Kultusbehörde of Baden had been invited before neither by the project informed nor for inspection. Everything had to go very fast. Immediately those was shifted so far the seminar using structure six-form high school into other national buildings of classrooms for 400 pupils was managed. To the inauguration date from 1 October as 3. 420 so-called "young men" the seminar referred realm financial school (after today's terms probably a technical school for tax and Zollrecht).
Girls could not be accepted at that time to this training. The participants in the one year's training courses left the school after existed final examination as financial candidates, in order to take after further two years practical course in tax offices and the current service in the party or one of their arrangements the supervisor examination. Conditions for an admission were the middle ripe, charakterliche and world-descriptive (i.e. National Socialist) strength, the SA sport badge or realm sport badge and technical suitability.
In instruction and also with exits carrying of the HJ-uniform was prescribed. The life at school had to run off extremely disciplined: 6,00 o'clock wakes common breakfast in the Speisesaal with following district service (beds and rooms make) by the trumpet, 7,00 o'clock, starting from 8.00 o'clock began the training enterprise. Instruction covered the fan record keeping, general jurisprudence, German, geography and tax law (income tax, value added tax, tax code, cash and enforcement nature). Sport enjoyed a special meaning. Particularly a small caliber shooting range furnished in the cellar of the south wing supplemented the before-military education.
To small's groups also different talents were promoted, then existed a school orchestra, a band with drums and fanfares and a group of turns for the equipment doing gymnastics. Sense of community and comrade shank, within and outside of the school existed absolute prohibition of smoking and alcohol was required.
The last young man class referred 1944 the realm financial school. The war situation permitted no more original school attendance. Up to the end of the war still some special training courses for female employees and for war-damaged took place. In the spring the seminar served 1945 also as military hospital.
